Pretty Doesn’t Matter

Sometimes “pretty” or “perfect” has nothing to do with it. Ever thought, if only I had this? Or if only I had that? If my hair was like this, or if I looked like this? Then things would happen for me. My life would be better. Stop right now. Immediately stop your mind from even thinking that very thought. It has taken me decades to learn, truly understand AND believe that pretty has NOTHING to do with it. Pretty has nothing to do with where you can go, what you can do and who you want to become. Do you think Melissa McCarthy or Gabourey Sidibe said they can’t be actresses or make it anywhere in life because of how they look? NO. Do you think Kanye told his self he could never be a rapper because his jaw was wired shut? Even though that was physically impossible, NO. Its the audacity of hope. He had the audacity, the NERVE, the COURAGE, to even believe it in the least. You need to, at the very least, have the audacity to BELIEVE and have HOPE for yourself to become what or who you want to be.

So sometimes, pretty just doesn’t matter. It may hurt, but only if you LET it hurt you. Only if you make it matter in your life. The only thing that truly matters is how you think and feel about YOURSELF. You have to have the faith of a mustard seed. You have to have the hope that others before you , like the ones I’ve named has had. Build that inner confidence. I know you’ve probably heard this a million times before but it truly is all about confidence. Train yourself, train your mind everyday to think of yourself in the HIGHEST form. Apply the Kanye method to your life and BE exactly who you want to be TODAY. Block out any thoughts or opinions of what other people might think or say. Truly put your OWN thoughts first. Even if initially it feels selfish, just do it. JUST FKN DO IT. And be the greatest you that you can possibly be.
